As a shopaholic myself I would like to share a few helpful hints for the best shops in Rome to find designer items, clothes & jewelery and bargains!
If you are interested in luxury shopping you will find the most important fashion brands in the area comprises within the Spanish Steps and Via dei Condotti where you can buy jewels, shoes and clothing of the best Italian designers. Most stylish shops are concentrated in this elegant spot where you will feel shopping around Roman history.

High fashion boutiques and trendy shops are not the only shopping deals in Rome. If you are more interested in alternative shopping or you simply like bargains, you can get good deals at Testaccio market where if you have the Imelda Marcos syndrome you will be able to buy quality designer shoes at bargain prices. Best time for going is on Saturday around 8 a.m. when the market stalls restock with new merchandise and so you will have more choices of finding your shoe-size. While the bohemian shopping district of Monti, just of the Coliseum is home to trendy boutiques, art galleries and artisan workshops.

This narrow street lined with 15th- and 16th-century palaces is the venue of an exciting antique fair that takes place in the middle of October when shops stay open late into the evening. The fair is a Mecca for antique hunters from Italy and beyond. While on the nearby Via del Governo Vecchio you will enjoy vintage shopping, emerging brands and eclectic designers.
